This real wax candle has the Hogwarts crest on it and happens to be an officially-licensed Harry Potter item. All you do to turn it on is wave your hand over the top of the candle. There is no real flame but an LED light contained inside the candle will flicker once activated which will have the appearance of an actual flame. Plus, you can make use of three different brightness settings to match whatever mood you are trying to create with this very intriguing light source.
But how exactly does the magic candle know when to go on and when to go off? There happens to be an IR sensor that triggers the LED light once the movement of your hand is detected. You can actually turn it on or off with just a flick of your wrist. There are also different modes you can set. For example, the Hogwarts House Mode will cycle the light through the House colours. This requires two AA batteries to operate (included) and your hand or wrist to activate!
